A poem by Patrick

I sit with young Israelis
in a German bakery
in northern India
their coffee arriving
to cigarettes
and laughter
in dream catcher apparel
I read Krishnamurti
with chai and jaggery
“Religion,” he speaks,
“…[mostly] a matter
of propaganda, of
vested interest, with
much property, with a
great hierarchical,
bureaucratic system
of spirituality.”
I can see
the destruction
of Israel
in its destruction
of Palestine –
for, can a home
(even 77 years old)
ever be home
if murder is required
to sleep in it?
My chai
a comfort of sorts
with sweet Israeli youth
leaving the promise
in high numbers
drifting here
with roadside
cannabis
unsettlement
Thank you, I felt like I was there, love what you and family do, thanks Kelly NW tas
Thanks, Kelly!
Great writing, swirling insights without judgement, good humoured and decisive.
Thanks Joel! ❤️
Thank you for your connection of thoughts
Thanks Lynda!
I’d like to imagine that the Germans keep baking bread which they can break with people all over the world together in common “prayer” at the “Church of Mother Country”.
We’re looking forward to bake some bread for you when you’re back.
Thank you for your inspiring words and images .
We look forward to that meal, Brigitte
The crumbs for some makes a crust for others… blessing to all!
Indeed. Sending love, J-M brother. Hope your travels are feeding you.

My son was recently in manali. He said lots of businesses owned by Israelis who go to their other businesses in Goa when it gets too cold. Demos in Melbourne show people are over the old regimes and will create new ones despite the police trying to uphold the old! Bring on the new, with much help from our Indigenous brothers and sisters. I’m naming my next dog Jiddu! 💖
Thanks for sending this, Clare. Amazing the msm is covering it. A million people marched in Canberra for the anti-mandate protests and the msm barely reported it. It was the largest political protest in Australian history and few know about it. But we were there. Whether it be the war on human biomes waged by the industrial medical complex or the war on mother country biomes across the world by the industrial military complex, none of it will be stopped until we stop the infighting and team sports ideology and find solidarity in peace, freedom and goodwill towards another.
“hierarchical spirituality”
along with the simplicity of fresh baked break, what a mess us humans can create…
unsettling in deed…
Thanks Trace, so well put.
Beautiful words. Contrast of the comforting chai with destruction of Palestine is powerful. Lots of love.
Thanks Tildy, lovely to hear from you.
Namaste from Old Manali 🙏🏼🧡
